Lesley Lanir a freelance writer, lecturer, and teacher trainer. She has been teaching English as a foreign language for at least 20 years, focusing on learning difficulties, disabilities, and disorders in connection to foreign language learning.

Lesley is a certified teacher, with a BA in English language, literature, linguistics, and education, CTEFLA/RSA, and holds an MA in learning disabilities, assessment and remediation.

She has had her work published in the Journal of Research in Special Educational Needs and a series of articles published in the three main commercial magazines for teaching English as a foreign language:

MET (Modern English Teacher)

ETP (English Teaching Professional)

ESL (English as Second Language)

Her work also appears in the on-line magazines Decoded Science and AbbaNibi.com and on-line news site Digital Journal.

Lesley also writes creatively and was one of the runners up in the rhyming poetry section of the 2010 79th Writer’s Digest Writing Competition . She is also a regular top ten winner of the competitions held by digital magazine Words With Jam and her poems and essays can also be found in Wolfstan's Literary Tumble.

Besides writing, Lesley enjoys hiking, travelling, watching films and performing arts. She has enjoyed being a stage manger in an amateur theatre group for many years.
